Tab-Fuse Privacy Policy
Overview
Tab-Fuse connects the Claude Code client installed on your computer to a Chrome side panel. This policy explains the data Tab-Fuse handles and how it is used.
Data Tab-Fuse Handles
Depending on the features you enable and invoke, Tab-Fuse may handle:
- Open-tab metadata, including titles, URLs, tab IDs, window IDs, and tab-group IDs.
- Website content represented as an accessibility-oriented page snapshot.
- A screenshot of the visible tab when the screenshot tool is enabled and used.
- Browser actions requested in a session, including navigation, clicks, and form values entered through the form-fill tool.
- Terminal input and output exchanged with your locally installed Claude Code client.
- Local settings and session metadata, including session IDs, titles, working directories, browser-context bindings, and process-lifecycle settings.
Tab-Fuse does not read Chrome cookies or saved passwords.
How Data Is Used
Tab-Fuse uses this data only to run Claude Code in the side panel, preserve resumable sessions, supply browser context requested during a session, and carry out browser actions you enable.
Website access is not required at installation. Chrome asks for HTTP and HTTPS site access only when you enable a page tool in Tab-Fuse settings. You can disable these tools or revoke access at any time.
Local Storage and External Processing
Settings and session metadata are stored in Chrome local or session storage and in local Tab-Fuse or Claude Code files. Tab-Fuse communicates with its companion host on the same computer through Chrome Native Messaging.
When you ask Claude Code to use browser context, relevant tab metadata, page content, screenshots, or action parameters may pass through the local Claude Code client to its configured model service. That service's processing and retention are governed by your agreement and privacy settings with its provider.
Sharing and Limited Use
The Tab-Fuse developer operates no analytics, advertising, or independent data-collection server for the extension. Data is not sold or transferred for advertising, cross-context behavioral tracking, creditworthiness, lending, or unrelated profiling.
Data is transferred only as needed to provide user-requested functionality, including transfer by Claude Code to its configured model service, or when required for security or legal compliance. Humans do not read user data unless you consent for a specific support request, or access is required for security or legal reasons.
Tab-Fuse's use and transfer of information received from Chrome APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Retention and Deletion
Temporary session records are released according to your lifecycle setting. Persistent session metadata remains on your device until you clear it or remove the associated local files. You can remove extension settings by clearing Tab-Fuse data or uninstalling the extension. Native-host files can be removed from ~/.claude/ext; Claude Code session data can be managed with Claude Code's controls.
Data retained by the configured model service is subject to that provider's retention and deletion controls.
